Development of the GCF-Armenia country cooperation program for GCF’s second replenishment round (2024-2027) and the green finance

Environment Group served as the primary technical consultant to the Ministry of Environment in preparing Armenia for the Green Climate Fund’s (GCF) second replenishment round. This project has established the national strategic roadmap for climate action throughout 2026, ensuring that Armenia’s climate priorities are aligned with international funding opportunities and that the country’s financial sector is prepared for a ‘green transition’


What we delivered-

  • Environment Group led Armenia's preparation for the GFC second replenishment.

  • Developed the GCF- Armenia Country Cooperation Program, ensuring GCF funding is aligned with national priorities.

  • Designed a national climate finance roadmap throughout 2026.

  • Identified, prioritized and presented bankable climate investment pipelines.

  • Produced a Green Finance Implementation Strategy and Action Plan (2023- 2027).
