Sustainable Infrastructure Feasibility Assessment (EBRD)

Under an EBRD assignment with AtkinsRéalis and HCL Consultants, Environment Group carried out environmental and social assessments for the State Tax Service’s Yerevan and Syunik customs and logistics centers.

The team evaluated sustainability, climate resilience, and social impacts to support the feasibility of infrastructure modernization. Environment Group together with Atkins Realis Team worked to:

• Identify existing and Project-related environmental and social impacts and risks;

• Describe and characterise a relevant environmental and social baseline commensurate with the risks posed by the current site operations and the Project;

• Develop a draft “Environmental and Social Audit and Assessment report”;

• Draft Environmental and Social Action Plan (ESAP);

• Identify if any additional studies will be required to cover relevant aspects in greater detail (eg. biodiversity, resettlement, retrenchment, etc,); and

• Provide inputs as requested by AtkinsRealis included in the Non-Technical Summary (NTS).
